4.45 pm: Jagan calls for Andhra Pradesh bandh tomorrow

YSR Congress has called for an Andhra Pradesh shutdown on Wednesday to protest the manner in which the Telangana bill was passed in the Lok Sabha.

Addressing the media in New Delhi, Jagan said "Today we saw how democracy can be killed. The Telangana Bill has been passed undemocratically. We are declaring a bandh tomorrow. Today is a black day for democracy. We are calling for a bandh in Andhra Pradesh.

Soon after the discussion on Telangana Bill began in Lok Sabha ,Ganta quits party, likely to join TDP the ruling Congress suffered a setback with two MLAs resigning from the primary membership of the party.
Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Gajuwaka MLA Chinthalapudi Venkataramaiah have announced their resignation from the Assembly's membership and the Congress party. The MLAs have sent their resignation papers to Governor ESL Narasimhan

As the government worked to push its controversial Telangana plan to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh through the Lok Sabha, minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao resigns.
Ganta faxed his resignation to Governor ESL Narasimhan, sources in the Congress party said.

Addressing a rally in Davangere in Karnataka, BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi said that Madam Soniaji, Rahulji have no time to go to Andhra, Hyderabad. Congress has hurt people of Telangana. People of Andhra Pradesh are facing problems.
2. 00 pm: CM's resignation decision postponed to tomorrow
CM Kiran Kumar Reddy likely to resign on Wednesday over Telangana. He is expected to address the media at 10.45 am tomorrow.
Sources said that Kiran has already sought an appointment with the Governor Wednesday morning to submit his resignation to him.
"I think Kiran Kumar Reddy will resign tomorrow," Government Whip in Legislative Council Rudraraju Padmaraju said.
12.55 pm: Ministers Pitani Satyanarayana, Parthasarathy and Ahmadullahr reached CM's camp office.
Kiran Kumar Reddy is likely to meet the Governor E.S.L.Narasimhan at 5 pm today to submit his resignation. (Read Here)

12.10 pm: Union Seemandhra Ministers K S Rao, D Purandeshwari, Chiranjeevi and K Surya Prakash Reddy joined the Semandhra MPs' protest and trooped into the Well of the house raising Jai Samaikyandhra slogans.
However, three union ministers - Pallam Raju, Killi Kruparani and Kishore Chandra Deo did not follow their colleagues but instead chose to protest from their seats.

With Lok Sabha expected to debate the contentious Telangana bill today, security in Seemandhra region of Andhra Pradesh was beefed up and forces were put on alert to meet any eventuality on the law and order front.
"We are monitoring the situation...police in districts have already been asked to be on alert...depending upon the situation we will take appropriate action," Additional Director General of Police (law and order) VSK Kaumudi said.
11. 25 am: Both houses of parliament were adjourned Monday till noon following an uproar over the formation of Telangana.
Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha witnessed noisy protests as soon as they met for the day and both Houses were adjourned tillnoon..
As soon as the Lok Sabha met, Seemandhra MPs raised slogans demanding that Andhra Pradesh remain united.
