CM Kiran fires first salvo: What next?

Whenever scribes asked him to comment on Telangana, Former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy would often reply with: "No match is over until the last ball has been bowled." Now after his resignation, should we assume that the last ball has been bowled?

Soon after the Telangana Bill got the green signal from the Lok Sabha, speculation was rife that Kiran Kumar Reddy will announce the name of his new political party along with news of his resignation. However, Kiran Reddy threw a googly by evading questions on him forming a new party. He escaped by saying that his political future is not so important.

As his resignation was very much expected, the news of him quitting Congress did not come as a shock to the people of Andhra Pradesh.

But those closely following political developments in the state are curious to know about his future plans. Now, the million dollar question is if he will launch a new party or will he remain loyal to Congress party as there's a strong rumour that he may be offered the AICC general secretary post if Kiran agrees.
