557 Zilla Parishant Territorial Constituencies and 8250 Mandal Parishant constituencies are going to polls today and 4 Lakh voters will be exercising their vote. These elections are being polled by Ballot papers. Several violent incidents are reported by 10 AM today in several parts of the state. Ex-Minister Ravindra Reddy alleged that Election commission full failed in conducting the elections properly in Kadapa district.
Ex-MLA Srinivasa Reddy from YSR Congress was house arrested by Police in Prakasam district. Polling was stalled in Kandlakunta as voters alleged that polling staff are asking voters to vote for a particular party. Similar scenes are seen in Telangana region too. In several places, TDP, Congress and TRS cadre are resorting to street fights and the police are having a tough time controlling them.
