With Seemandhra eections on 7th may the Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan on Tuesday evening directed his officials to personally monitor the progress of work related to the allotment and upkeep of the chambers meant for elected governments.
Pradeep Chandra, Special Chief Secretary, presented a report on the measures to be adopted for the progress and development of successor States under the Schedule XIII which has details on Education and Infrastructure proposals and twelve new infrastructure projects.
According to a statement from the Governor’s office, the Governor was briefed about the allotment of buildings at the Secretariat. As per his saying the A, B, C, D blocks in the Secretariat would be allotted to the Telangana State and H, K, L blocks to the AP State. After examining various alternatives, the security wing has proposed Lake View guest house to be earmarked as the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s camp office.
The committee interacted with all heads of department in respect of apportioning the office space. There are 179 departments in Hyderabad.
It is proposed to convert the Jubilee Hall to convene the first session of the Legislative Council of the Andhra Pradesh.
