Babu Wants Sujana Also in Modi Cabinet. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister-Designate N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday night said he was keen on Y S Chowdary along with P Ashok Gajapati Raju in the Cabinet. He expressed happiness that Ashok Gajapati Raju, who is a senior and experienced party leader, has been inducted into the Union Cabinet.
New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister-Designate N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday night said he was keen on Y S Chowdary along with P Ashok Gajapati Raju in the Cabinet. He expressed happiness that Ashok Gajapati Raju, who is a senior and experienced party leader, has been inducted into the Union Cabinet. In a subsequent expansion, Chandrababu Naidu said, Y S Chowdhury will get a chance to join the Modi Government at the Centre. “I will keep coming to Delhi regularly, till justice is done to Andhra Pradesh,” he said. Addressing media conference, Chandrababu Naidu said Union Civil Aviation Minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju will skip the TDP Mahanadu from Tuesday, as he has to attend the first Union Cabinet meeting slated for Tuesday evening.
Union Civil Aviation Minister P Ashok Gajapati Raju said he was happy to be part of the Union Cabinet. For International Airports in Andhra Pradesh, infrastructure is required, he said. The State and the Centre have to work in tandem.
Indeed, Andhra Pradesh proved lucky as the State got two Cabinet berths, while Telangana drew a blank. While P Ashok Gajapati Raju from the TDP and M Venkaiah Naidu from the BJP made it to the Union Cabinet from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana drew a blank. BJP leader Bandaru Dattatreya, elected from Secunderabad, was widely expected to be inducted into the Union Cabinet, but he was not included. However, Chandrababu Naidu said the TDP decided to support the BJP only in national interest and in the interest of the States. Telangana has to be rebuilt and justice has to be done to Andhra Pradesh. The TDP never hankered after Ministerial posts.
