Hyderabad: The decision of the government to allocate Telangana Employees JAC leader C Vittal to the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh as part of distribution of employees between the two successor States is snowballing into a controversy.

Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman Prof Kodandaram warned of undertaking an intensified agitation if guidelines for staff distribution were not changed to ensure justice to both sides.

Telangana Employees JAC and the TJAC staged a demonstration at Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) office in Nampally to protest against irregular allocation of staff in the BIE.

Speaking on the occasion, Kodandaram alleged that some Seemandhra bureaucrats were taking unilateral decisions. The staff should be allocated between the two States only on the basis of nativity, he stressed. Citing Vittal’s case as an example, the TJAC chairman said that they would not tolerate if any injustice was meted out to government employees from Telangana in the staff distribution process.

TNGO president G Deviprasad and TRS newly elected MLAs K Swamy Goud and V Srinivas Goud among others took part in the protest.
