Vijayawada: The sprawling 70-acre ground opposite Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) is abuzz with leaders of the Telugu Desam and senior officials visiting the venue to monitor the arrangements and security.

The Chief Minister-designate and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to take the oath here on June 8. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Union ministers and chief ministers of States belonging to the NDA partners are expected to attend. The party is set to mobilize about five lakh people.

Chief Secretary-designate I Y R Krishna Rao, DGP-designate J V Ramudu, Naidu’s chief security officer Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, collectors of Krishna, West Godavari and Guntur, M Raghunandana Rao, Siddharth Jain and S Suresh Kumar, besides several senior revenue and police officials visited the grounds to monitor the security and other arrangements.

Senior TDP leaders Konakalla Narayana Rao, Kesineni Srinivas, Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Alapati Rajendra Prasad, Gadde Ramamohana Rao, Dhulipala Narendra Kumar, Nannapaneni Rajakumari and others inspected the venue and monitored the arrangements.

Meanwhile, DGP B Prasada Rao inspected the APSP sixth battalion premises at Mangalagiri to locate the camp office for new DGP. He told the media that it was convenient for the incumbent had to visit the residuary State until a permanent premises was arranged.
