EAMCET: AP impleads in SC, The Andhra Pradesh government has impleaded itself in the EAMCET case in the Supreme Court, hearing on which is to take place on Monday.

New Delhi: The Andhra Pradesh government has impleaded itself in the EAMCET case in the Supreme Court, hearing on which is to take place on Monday. It may be recalled that the Telangana government has approached the Supreme Court, asking for some more time to conduct EAMCET counselling. At that time the Supreme Court asked the Andhra Pradesh government to implead in the case.
The Andhra Pradesh government has been maintaining that the future of many students would be ruined due to delay in the EAMCET counselling. It is expected to counter the Telangana government’s petition in the Supreme Court seeking extension of the deadline for EAMCET admissions. The Andhra Pradesh government is understood to have apprised the Supreme Court of how students are migrating to other States after being disappointed over the status of education.
It is hopeful of a positive outcome from the apex court and is looking forward to the deadline not being extended, as requested by the Telangana government.
