New Delhi: The Supreme Court has adjourned the EAMCET case till Monday afternoon due to the non availability of Harish Salve, a senior advocate. The case was originally scheduled for hearing in the morning on Monday, otherwise.
It is evident that the Andhra Pradesh Council for Higher Education has decided to release the notification for the EAMCET counseling without considering the opinions of the Telangana state government and even while the decision was pending in the apex court.
From one end the Telangana state government pleads that they need time till October for holding the counseling for there was a need to chalk out the modalities for the fee reimbursement to the students. From the other end, the Andhra Pradesh state government pleads that the delay in the admissions process may adversely affect the future of the students.
