S Prudhvi KrishnaS Prudhvi Krishna is an MBA graduate from the city who chose the less travelled road to become successful. Despite luring offers from the corporate world, he followed his heart and established an animal farm after his post graduation in 2009. Prudhvi is now a key milk supplier to local hotels and restaurants.

Prudhvi Krishna completed his MBA from Nova College. Despite many good offers from corporates, he chose to live in the city and took to dairy farming with just eight buffaloes. He also loves dogs and breeds them in his farm which now generates a profit of Rs 80,000 to Rs 1 lakh a month.

Prudhvi’s farm is located behind the Autonagar industries along Kanuru and currently houses 80 buffaloes, hundreds of hens, sheep and goose. He is also relied upon to breed dogs such as Doberman, Labrador Retriever, Pug and Dachshund.

“I am confident of what I can deal with when it comes to generating income. With support from my parents, I expanded the farm to two acres. My buffaloes produce as many as 800 litres of milk per day. The morning supply of milk is provided to hoteliers while in the evening, the milk is sold to the household directly,” says Prudhvi.

About 30 people look after the farm and take care of the animals. A veterinarian visits the farm daily which ensures that animals remain healthy. This young entrepreneur is all set to expand his farm capacity and take up vigorous activity in the near future. He also wishes to bring out his own brand of dairy products.
