Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to meet the farmers' representatives in the proposed capital region area on Tuesday. According to highly placed sources, the Chief Minister would interact with the farmers and their representatives at the Lakeview Guest House in Hyderabad.

The TDP leaders, particularly the members of the Cabinet sub-committee, on Monday identified five farmers from each of the 17 villages of Thulluru and Mangalagiri mandals for the purpose. Ministers Prathipati Pullarao, Ravela Kishore Babu and Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and Tadikonda MLA T Sravan Kumar were entrusted with the responsibility of identifying the farmers for the interaction.

The Chief Minister is likely to give a power point presentation to impress the farmers with his plans for new capital city. He is also expected to explain “the benefits that the farmers will derive through the land pooling scheme.” He is also believed to have planned to give a second power point presentation on Singapore architecture.

The Chief Minister also designed a power point presentation on beautification of river Krishna.

The presentation is intended to show to the farmers the plans by the government to build four flyovers, including two hanging bridges across the river, to promote tourism. The TDP leaders said Naidu had made the design for capital city ready. It would prove to be a model capital, the party leaders claimed.
