Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government is likely to issue an ordinance to create a Capital Region Development Authority, which will be responsible for creating a Singapore-like capital city. The cabinet, which would be meeting on Tuesday, may okay the proposal.

The cabinet meeting will be taking a few crucial decisions with regard to the process of land pooling. Naidu was planning to increase the quantum of land that the government would give to each owner in exchange of the surrendered land for the capital city. The government would develop the land before handing it over to the affected land owners. The government was also planning to allot some space for farmers in the commercial clusters, an insider informed The Hans India. The cabinet will review the problems encountered by the cabinet committee on land pooling. The government is facing trouble from leaders from outside the capital region.

These leaders were pitching in to create trouble for the government in acquiring land, a highly-placed source said.

Naidu, who is unhappy over the manner in which some senior ministers were clashing over the issue of transfers of certain officials, is likely to deal with the ministers with the information he had gathered from various sources. He would warn them to stop indulging in pressure tactics or face action. It may be mentioned here that a few days back, two ministers Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Ch Ayanna Patrudu clashed with each other over transfer of a revenue development officer in Visakhapatnam district.
