CM to choose between Ugadi, NTR birth anniv
A team of civil engineers, architects, planners and designers will visit the capital region soon after the AP government finalises the blue print for the capital city.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is understood to have chosen two dates March 21 which happens to be the Ugadi (Telugu New Year Day) or May 28 which happens to be birth anniversary of NTR to lay the foundation stone for the new capital of the residual state of Andhra Pradesh.
A team of civil engineers, architects, planners and designers will visit the capital region soon after the AP government finalises the blue print for the capital city. Meanwhile, geological experts from Singapore government are likely to visit the river front city between Vijayawada and Guntur to take up soil testing as the government proposes to build Singapore style sky scrapers. It is said that Naidu is keen on building of entire city by 2016, a senior TDP MLA told The Hans India on Monday.
He said the plan includes a 44-storey skyscraper to house the secretariat and other key offices of the government and a 22-km garden along River Krishna. Naidu wants the proposed garden to be the best in the country. It would begin at the Prakasam barrage and would spread along the banks of Krishna river, the source.
The tentative plan according to the source is that the official residence of the Chief Minister would come up on the other side of River Krishna, the area that falls under Krishna district. Naidu wants the official residence here because the party founder president N T Rama Rao hailed from here.
The secretariat, Assembly and Raj Bhavan would be constructed in the villages that fall under Guntur district.
