How often do we realise the worthiness of health and how much we can achieve with all our body parts intact? A person who is suffering from Polio since the age of five is now providing employment to about 50 educated youth and is gearing up to add 250 more to his tally. We are talking about Yalamala Ravi Chaitanya, who is doing wonders in the software industry in Andhra Pradesh. He is firm that polio or any other physical disability isn’t a hurdle to life.

Chaitanya stuck to his ideology of contributing something to his native town of Rajahmundry. He started a company at the age of 16 with couple of friends in 2002 and worked with clients from twelve countries who approached him for web designing. In April 2013, Chaitanya started SWEEYA for small and medium entrepreneurs in nine districts. Chaitanya started the Rajahmundry Live website and mobile app through which all aspects of Rajahmundry including news, events, astrology and many other things are being displayed which draws the attention of citizens. He has now narrowed his focus on 12 other towns in Andhra Pradesh to start a similar service including yellow pages and corporate video services and local web by March. He also plans to start an online reality show by February in Rajahmundry which will be extended to 12 towns including Kakinada, Eluru, Bhimavaram, Vijayawada, Machilipatnam, Vizag, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Guntur, Ongole and Nellore.

He is also launching 10 featured web portals covering yellow pages, shopping, real estate, jobs and education, matrimony, finance, entertainment, advertising, travel and food.

The primary objective of Chaitanya is to focus on working virtually which leads to self reliance. He wants to inculcate the knowledge of students and housewives into virtual employment. He is also advocating the involvement of NGOs to help out the physically disabled in the future.

As far as Godavari Pushkarams are concerned, he is going to start a website and android mobile app pushkaralu2015.com and is also planning a feature on Kadiyam nurseries. Company marketing manager, Ravi Kumar, said that his boss has his vision set for the next 10 years.

“I never felt as any employee under Chaitanya. He is an exceptional scrutiniser and a person with amazing creativity. He also complements the team for boosting the confidence of team members whenever their confidence levels are low,” he said.

Chaitanya’s major source of strength is his wife Vaishnavi apart from his parents. Vaishnavi feels that he gives importance to the views of everyone and he always treats his employees as friends and respects their opinions. As his passion is always movie making, he started digital movies for the first time in 2008. He believes that technology can be utilised from anywhere. Though he sent most of his first ten years life in hospital, Chaitanya has leant the art of self-learning through books and internet. He firmly believes that technology should be utilised in positive manner. The most significant feature of Chaitanya is that he has completed MBA from ICFAI through correspondence course.
