Two-week workshop on ‘Mobile Applications Development’ begins

Guntur: Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology (VVIT) in coordination with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) launched a 2-week workshop on "Mobile Applications Development" on Tuesday for the benefit of final year students of CSE/IT/MCA to make them suitable for developing real time industry-oriented applications. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of VVIT, Vasireddy Vidya Sagar, said that the VVIT takes immense pride in collaborating with the APSSDC, the brainchild of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, to provide training to the rural youth to help them secure employment.

Kranthi Bhushan, R&D Engineer, Microsoft, Hyderabad, was the chief guest at the inaugural function. He congratulated VVIT for being selected as a Skill Development Centre and offering the state of the art facilities in a pleasant environment. He hoped that it will conduct a row of workshops in skill development for those aspiring for software jobs in the new capital region of the State.

He said 50 students from various engineering colleges were selected for training in the development of "Windows 8.1" mobile application. The faculty members and the students trained in this workshop will provide training to the unemployed youth for improving their chances of securing employment in software industry.
