The latest information received by late Monday evening, the authorities were still struggling to establish contact with fishermen in 23 more boats.

But, the authorities could not get the details of exact number of boats which ventured into the sea. The latest information received by late Monday evening, the authorities were still struggling to establish contact with fishermen in 23 more boats.


The boats started returning to various places like Visakhapatnam, Bhavanapadu, Kalingapatnam, Gopalapuram and other places by Sunday midnight. The Naval helicopters from Visakhapatnam, in addition to the services being extended by Coast Guard and ONGC, joined the search operation. The fishermen ventured into the sea in large numbers as one-and-half-month fishing holiday came to an end.
