Detroit (USA): Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information and Public Relations Palle Raghunath Reddy has called upon Telugu people in the State and outside, including NRIs to strive hard for ensuring that their language and culture thrives. Addressing the inaugural session of the 20th annual conference of the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) in the early hours of Friday, Reddy urged the NRIs to make investments in Navyandhra Pradesh, including the new capital Amaravati.



As a representative of the State government, he presented the TANA awards to some prominent Telugu people in the USA for their valuable contribution in various fields. Addressing the gathering, the minister showered wholesome praise on Telugu Desam Party founder-president and former chief minister N T Rama Rao for propagating the Telugu ‘Atma Gowravam’ (self-respect) across the globe.



He was all praise for Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for developing the combined Andhra Pradesh, particularly Hyderabad as Silicon Valley in the IT sector. Reddy lauded the services being rendered by TANA for promoting Telugu language and culture in the US.
