One crore people take holy dip

With all roads leading to the Pushkar ghats of river Godavari in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, a record number of nearly one crore people were said to have taken a holy bath on Saturday. With Saturday and Sunday being holidays, lakhs of devotees used all available modes of transport including two wheelers to reach the nearest Godavari pushkar ghat. According to real time recording of figures till 9 pm about 95 lakh people are said to have taken bath in river Godavari.
