Telangana has recorded second highest suicide rate in the Country. The new state also bagged the dubious distinction of having the second-highest farmer suicides in the country, while Andhra Pradesh stands at eighth place.


As per the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data 2014, in Telangana, many of suicides were due to unemployment and poverty. Family problems, poverty, indebtedness, love tragedies and property issues were main reasons behind the suicides. Political analysts feel that with the two Telugu CMs Chandrababu and K Chandrashekar Rao are competing in all fields, this suicide records may become minor setback for KCR.


And this may be the only saving grace for Chandrababu given that he's battling so many hurdles ever since he took charge of the residuary Telugu state.
