MP Jayadev confident of special status
Local Member of Parliament Galla Jayadev expressed confidence that the demand for special status by Andhra Pradesh would be conceded by the Centre, as the Union government at no point had ever said \'no\' to the demand of the State or to its own election pledge. Guntur: Local Member of Parliament Galla Jayadev expressed confidence that the demand for special status by Andhra Pradesh would be conceded by the Centre, as the Union government at no point had ever said 'no' to the demand of the State or to its own election pledge. Speaking to The Hans India here on Wednesday, Jayadev said that the State had been approaching the Centre time and again on the issue and at no point or context did it say that it is not possible but kept on saying that it is under consideration.
He hoped that irrespective of time frame, the Centre would concede the demand as AP's case is very different from other States.On the road map for capital building, the MP said that everything is working out as scheduled. The master plan is ready and with the foundation stone laying ceremony scheduled in October, the plans are on track, he said.
