Bandh for AP Special Status successful

YSR Congress party and the Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy\'s appeal for AP Bandh over the special status issue has been successful. The bandh which was staged on August 29 in the state was more or less peaceful with buses being confined to depots in almost 8 districts.

The bandh witnessed YSRCP activists along with CPI and CPM workers participating in a bike rally launched in various places. Minor clash took place between the protestors and the police in places like Tirupati, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry.
YSR Congress party staged the bandh as the Centre is ignoring the special status issue.
