The war of words between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Leader of Opposition in the AP Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy continued on the second day of Monsoon session over a note on Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.

The AP CM made a statement in the Assembly on Special Category Status for AP. While Chandrababu was giving a speech on the issue, YS Jagan objected saying his statements were not matching the notice that was circulated in the House. "I can understand the situation of first timers in the Assembly. They are not able to understand the essence of my statement," Chandrababu said referring to YS Jagan's comments.

The AP CM further accused the YSRCP of opposing all good work of the TDP. "I will fight for the rights of Telugu people. To build a capital like Hyderabad, it will take 20 years and Rs 5 lakh crore is required. We requested the Centre to provide special package to the AP capital," Chandrababu said. He questioned YSRCP's silence over Section-8.

Hitting back at the AP CM, YS Jagan remarked: "Chandrababu said so much on the special status but he failed to reveal what he is going to do to achieve the same."
