Chandrababu vows to turn AP into sports capital

Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu who inaugurated the National Inter District Athletics meet on Saturday at the Port Kalavani stadium said that Andhra Pradesh will soon become the sports capital of the country.

The Chief Minister addressed various athletes from the districts across the country and assured that the efforts would be made to recruit and train the talented sportspersons from the grassroot levels.

Chandrababu said that he would put his best efforts to turn AP into the home for the best sports events. Reminiscing the time when the Afro-Asian Games were hosted at the Bala Yogi stadium, he promised that Visakhapatnam would host the Asian Athletics Championship in 2017.
