Hyderabad: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will launch a 20-day Chandranna Rythu Kosam Yatra from September 9. The twenty-day long programme would be launched in Srikakulam and will end in Anantapur with a massive public meeting.

Stating this Agriculture Minister Pattipati Pulla Rao along with Information and Public Relations Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy said Naidu would also take up distribution of loan wavier to the DWCRA women groups during yatra.

Though this programme was planned earlier, it assumes greater importance in the wake of the recent slugfest that was witnessed during the just concluded monsoon session of the State Assembly on the issue of denial of special status category to Andhra Pradesh.

During his 20-day yatra, Naidu would not only explain to the farmers about the measures the government had taken to make the state mitigate drought-proof, but will also talk about the achievements of the government in the last 15 months.

During ‘Rythu Kosam’, the Chief Minister will interact with farmers and seek feedback from them on the government’s programmes. The tour programme also includes public meetings, exhibitions, workshops and cultural programmes creating awareness on better agricultural practices in the State.
