Andhra Pradesh PCC Chief Raghuveera Reddy on Sunday faced protests from a group of villagers at Kona village in Machilipatnam. Angry villagers threw sand at rhe AP PCC chief.
The AP Government released land acquisition notice for the development of Machilipatnam deep sea port. Some villagers of Kona village, who have been protesting the Government's move, are not allowing anyone to enter the village.
Raghuveera Reddy reached the village to extend his party's support to the protesting villagers. Some enraged villagers threw sand at Raghuveera Reddy asking him to go back.
The Congress leader had to leave the village with the police help.
