The people of Andhra Pradesh are likely to get 'electric' shock. Chandrababu Naidu government is reportedly planning to hike power tariff in AP.
According to reports, the DISCOMs presented a proposal of Rs 7200 crore increase in power charges. The proposal has been put before the state electricity board which is yet to take a final call.
The electricity board is expected to seek public opinion on imposing a fresh hike and the survey may be conducted in October.
