A Nizamabad-based devotee Srinivas on a pilgrimage to Tirumala was shocked to find a metal wire in the laddu prasadam he bought for his family.
Tirumala: A Nizamabad-based devotee Srinivas on a pilgrimage to Tirumala was shocked to find a metal wire in the laddu prasadam he bought for his family.
The incident came to light when the angry devotee brought the issue to the notice of the media persons at Tirumala on Saturday. Srinivas has been visiting the Tirumala over the last six weeks as part of a vow.
The devotee along with his other friends offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara and purchased about 20 laddu prasadams to distribute among their family and friends.
“Millions of devotees across the globe attach great significance to the 'Tirupati Laddu' which is considered a Maha Prasadam.
There was a metal wire in one of the laddus we purchased and when we questioned the staff in the counter but nobody cared to respond.
We plead the TTD not to hurt the sentiments of the devotees with their negligent act', said Srinivas.
