He alleged that kickbacks to the tune of Rs 490 crore changed hands in the Pattiseema project. Stating that pouring glass of water into Krishna River is not interlinking of rivers and suspected that the TDP government has taken up this project only for the sake of commissions.

He demanded a white paper on Pattiseema project and warned that he would move the court if the government failed to do so. Speaking to reporters, Vundavalli observed that the Centre and the State governments are playing theatrics on Polavaram project. Since PLIS has been brought into the picture only to put Polavaram project in cold storage, he alleged.

He made it clear that there is no need of constructing Pattiseema project with huge cost and it clearly indicates government intention to abandon Polavaram project. He questioned Chief Minister Naidu on why he is not talking to Chief Ministers of Odisha and Chhattisgarh States who have raised objections over the Polavaram project.

He expressed doubts on whether Naidu has started Pattiseema to follow the suggestion of the Prime Minister to stop Polavaram project for the sake of Odisha State. He further demanded white paper on expenditure taken up by the State government on the Polavaram right main canal and on the land acquisition in last two months and money spent on canals by then Chief Minister YSR.
