Huge response for INSPIRE science exhibition. The INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) exhibition, mooted by the Ministry of Science and Technology received an overwhelming response from students.

As many as 610 scientific projects were displayed at three day-Inspire 2015, State level Exhibition and Project Competitions (SLEPC-1), which commenced at the Kakarparti Bhavanarayana (KBN) College, One Town on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Irrigation Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said that the State Government had initiated several measures for improving education sector. He appealed to the students to think scientifically and develop innovative ideas.

“With innovative ideas, revolutionary changes could be achieved,” he said.Krishna District Education Officer K Nageswara Rao said that three-day exhibition would provide a perfect platform to the schoolchildren from various parts of the district to showcase their skills and scientific knowledge.

“The projects will be judged on the basis of originality, creativity, innovation, utility and use of scientific methods,” he said. Rao also said that the best exhibits would qualify to be displayed at the State-level exhibition and the best from the State would qualify for the national-level expo to be held in New Delhi in October, he said.

Krishna District ZP Chairperson Gadde Anuradha, Mayor Koneru Sreedhar National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) Director MV Rajyalakshmi and other officials also took part in the expo.
