AP Govt on austerity drive, no star hotel stay or flight travel for officials

The AP government has barred the officials from travelling in flights from Hyderabad to Vijayawada to attend meetings. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has shifted to Vijayawada and started functioning from there.

Several officials belonging to different departments in the AP Government are still functioning from Hyderabad. They have to travel frequently from Hyderabad to Vijayawada to attend meetings.
The Government has asked those officials not to travel by flights or stay in star hotels. A circular to this effect was issued to special chief secretaries, principal secretaries, secretaries and heads of departments.
