Road show for Excon 2015. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised a road show For Excon 2015 - India’s premier event for the construction equipment industry. The road show was attended by leaders from industry and senior representatives from CII.

EXCON 2015 is scheduled to be held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bangalore from November 25 to 29. Spread across 220,000 square metres and with a participation of over 850 exhibitors, including 250 foreign companies, Excon is the largest exhibition on construction equipment in South Asia.

There will be country pavilions including leading economies like China, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Turkey UK & Finland. Addressing the meeting CII vice-chairman Vijayawada zone G Venkateswara stated that the Construction Industry has been driving the economic growth of the country.

Government used to be the prime players in the past but today private players drive the growth, the portion of infrastructure to GDP has doubled in the last ten years. Most of the global technology leaders have set up their own manufacturing base in India, some as joint ventures and marketing companies.

TR Bharatan,steering committee Member, Excon 2015 & Chief Advisor, Puzzolana Group, gave a detailed presentation on EXCON 2015. A film on Excon 2015 was also played for the participants. Municipal commissioner G Veera Pandian emphasized on the need of technology compared to manual labour for effective and efficient work.

He stated that lot of developmental activities have started in Vijayawada. The civic infrastructure is being developed rapidly to make Vijayawada a world class capital. He emphasized the importance of these exhibitions which would expose the contractors, builders and companies related to infrastructure to latest technologies and equipment in the construction sector.

He appealed to everyone involved in infrastructure sector to develop smart infrastructure. CREDAI state president A Siva Reddy explained the importance of this the road show and invited all the builders to attend and explore the latest technologies in construction equipment.
