Young talent to the fore at Yuvaho

Students from schools and colleges showcased their extracurricular talent at Yuvaho Generation `Y’ Programs organised by the Rotary Club of Vijayawada Mid Town at Siddhartha Auditorium on Wednesday evening. Group and solo folk dances, instrumental music, spell bee, quiz, elocution, essay writing, just a minute, drawing, painting and other contests were organised for students as part of the event.

In accordance with the current trend, a special selfie competition was also held. Students showed great enthusiasm to compete in Generation `Y’ Programs. Adressing the gathering, Mayor Koneru Sridhar exhorted students to develop positive attitude and confidence to scale greater heights in life.

In the quiz contest, PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science and Andhra Loyola College won top honours. St John's Public School, Noble Kids English Medium High School and Nirmala High School won the first, second and third prizes respectively in the quiz competition among school students.

Prizes were given away to winners of various contests. Siddhartha Academy president N Venkateswarlu, Rotary Club of Vijayawada Mid Town president G Sreenivasa Rao, secretary P Anil Babu, Youth Services director K Venkat and others were present.
