The Department of History and Tourism of Maris Stella College organised a programme at its premises on Saturday to mark World Tourism Day 2015. Prof E Siva Nagi Reddy, former director of State Art Gallery, Hyderabad, spoke on this year’s theme `One Billion Tourists – One Billion Opportunities’. He explained the significance of tourism as a global phenomenon for sustainable growth.

The students, who formed themselves into 17 teams, prepared as many as 108 vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The mouth-watering dishes displayed at the food festival included both traditional and contemporary. College principal KV Anand lauded the initiative of students.
