Kachiguda Express had a narrow escape on Sunday as the flames erupted when the rail tire of the S6 bogey clashed with the train tracks heavily. The incident occured when the train travelling to Yashvantpur reached Darmapuram in Anantapur district. However, the incident was averted when the loco pilot heard the sounds and immediately halted the train.
The S6 bogey was replaced with another bogey in a matter of half and hour time after which the train resumed its schedule.
