Seven die as car falls in canal in Guntur

A family of seven including two kids lost their lives when the car they were travelling in fell into a canal in Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh. Sub-inspector of Phirangipuram police station Anandarao informed that the accident took place around 6 PM on Saturday and the care fell into the canal between Thakkellapadu and Phirangipuram villages.
A resident of Phirangipuram, Moghal Kasimbi and her family were returning from Amaravathi when the car amidst heavy rainfall fell into the canal. While she survived, her daughters, son-in-law, grand-daughters drwoned in the canal.
Police informed that she was admitted to Guntur General Hospital.
