Srinivasa Kalyanam performed

Sri Srinivasa Kalyanam' was performed with devotion and traditional fervor by the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and Snehalaya Friends Circle at Zymkhana Grounds in the city. The rituals started with ‘Shobha Yatra’ of the idols of Sridevi, Bhoodevi Sameta Venkateswara Swamy by Vedic priests led by Sri Tridandi Astakshari Sampath Kumara Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamy.

This was followed by performance of ‘Vishvaksena puja’, ‘Punyakavachanam’, ‘Rakshabandhan’, ‘Kanyadanam’, ‘Mangaldharanam’ and special ‘Homam’ for world peace and prosperity, said Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad convener MSK Kumar. Scores of devotees witnessed the celestial wedding. Devotees rendered Annamacharya keertanas to mark the event.
