In the wake of the bandh called by the petrol bunk owners demanding the withdrawal of the VAT hike, Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday met with the petrol bunk owners in the state and held discussions over the petrol and diesel VAT.


The petrol bunk owners demanded that the VAT should be decreased upto Rs 4 on petrol and deisel. Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Ajay Khallam stated that he would hold discussions regarding the issue with the Government. With Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu currently on a foreign tour, the government sought time of 10 days.

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will be meeting with the Petrol Bunk owners on Thursday evening and hold discussions. Meanwhile, the state-wide bandh of the petrol bunks continues.
