With lorry owners going for an indefinite strike nation-wide demanding the withdrawal of the VAT hike, the Telugu states - Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been affected. With nearly 14 lakhs of trucks getting stranded, the strike has affected import and export of commodities badly.
The truck owners are also demanding that the Central government should relax the usage of speed governors for old vehicles and cancel the collection of toll taxes.
