TDP leaders sparked a debate in political circles by leveling allegations against YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's indefinite hunger strike.

AP health minister Kamineni Srinivas said that YS Jagan's sugar level went up from 59 to 83 in the evening. He went ahead and said that an inquiry into the sugar level of YS Jagan would be ordered. Joining the chorus, another minister Pattipati Pulla Rao said that Jagan is deceiving people with fake deekshas. They also questioned the genuineness of YS Jagan's fast.

Irked by the TDP leaders' allegations on the issue, YSRCP senior leaders including Botsa Satyanarayana questioned the doctors of Guntur government hospital on this and sought their explanation. They also asked the doctors to release a health bulletin. They blamed the doctors for using an old equipment which showed wrong results.
