Training institute for paramedic and allied staff inaugurated. To train paramedics, doctors and medical professionals by another extra mile, in association with the Central government’s Skill Development Corporation, Apollo Hospitals has come up with ‘Medskills Smart Center’ in the city.

To train paramedics, doctors and medical professionals by another extra mile, in association with the Central government’s Skill Development Corporation, Apollo Hospitals has come up with ‘Medskills Smart Center’ in the city. The training center was formally inaugurated by Managing Director of Dr Ramesh, Cardiac and Multi specialty Centre, Dr P Ramesh Babu on Friday.

Dr Ramesh Managing Director cuts the ribbon to mark the inauguration of Cardiac and Multi specialty CentreSpeaking on the occasion, Dr Ramesh recollected their earlier efforts of bringing down the paramedic staff for higher salaries to the city from other States to meet the requirement. ‘’Doctors spend a couple of hours on a patient but it is the paramedic staff who look after them throughout their stay at the hospital.

There is a need for skilled staff in the industry and now that the State has been bifurcated, there will be immense growth in number of opportunities in the sector’’, he said. He appreciated the Apollo group for coming out with such initiative that imparts additional or the essential skills in health care segment.

National head of the Sales, Apollo Medskills limited Vishal Sinha said that the training institute will benefit nursing professionals, doctors, and hospital support staff by training them in various segments that fall under allied health and nursing up-skill.

Post graduation diploma in Radiology, PG diploma in MLT, Emergency Technician, ward administration, cosmetology, respiratory therapy, diploma in cardiac non invasive, coding, diabetes counselor, phlebotomy technician, wound management, Life Safer, fellowship in critical care nursing, cardiac care nursing, BLS, ACLS, ATCN, international nursing, IV Therapy, Hemodynamic monitoring and medical coding were a few courses that the institute offers. Vice president of Operations and Academics Dr P Srinivasa Rao, center head P Prashant and others were present.
