Giving the importance of Moolanakshatram, most of the pandals served annaprasadam to the devotees.

The ten day Dasara festivities are being celebrated at a larger scale at these pandals (Prabha). One can witness huge settings of the Goddess in various avatars. The pandals are heavily illuminated and there are banners and posters of the Goddess which are garlanded with Rs 10 currency notes.

On par with the Sri Kanakadurga Devi temple abode Indrakeeladri, the proceedings and puja for the pandal deity are being conducted with fervor on daily basis. According to the Corporation authorities, there are nearly 90 pandals spread across the city which were also cleared as no objection from police department.

The locals are offering puja and are visiting it during early hours of the day and at night. A few pandals organisers have also roped in locally famous troupes to perform some cultural activity. Bajans to the Goddess is offered every day. The prasadam to the deity is offered as per the significance of the avatar, at these pandals.

A few of them are also organizing free food (Annadanam) for the poor and destitute on alternative or daily basis. M Lakshmi, one of the organizers for pandals at Jadagam street said, ‘’ we do organize the navarathri utsavalu every year at the area. This time, we have called for erected set up to make it look richer.

We are inviting devotees and donors to donate towards the annadanam programme that is offered to the locals.” Senior citizens and people who wouldn’t want to take risk to have dharshan of the Goddess on Indrakeeladri found these pandals to their rescue to dwell in the navarathri utsavalu at their feasibility. They are participating in every day puja of the deity.
