Hyderabad: AP government issued orders changing the name of Rajahmundry as ‘Rajamahendravaram’ and appended notification in an extraordinary issue of the AP gazette.
The order states that the East Godavari district Collector has to publish a preliminary notification in the district gazette for the information of public and call suggestions and objections from the people affected by the said notification.
The Collector will submit a report on public opinion to government after 30 days of the issuance of the notification.
