Culture and arts will be protected by govt: MLA. The Vijayawada Cultural Academy honoured renowned dancer Usha Madhavi with the ‘Noosetti Memorial Award’ at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College on Saturday.

Speaking on this occasion, MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao said, “Culture and arts will be protected by the government and shortly a model auditorium will be constructed to facilitate the artistes to exhibit their talent.”
Hemadri Prasad, president of Telugu Artistes Federation said that the artistes should have unity among themselves to achieve their goals. He requested the corporate sector to extend a helping hand to promote cultural activates on par with other cities like Hyderabad and Chennai.
Other dignitaries who participated were music composer Nallanchakravarthula Buchayacharyulu, Dr Varaprasad, Dr Harika, Dr Sarika, Kaku Mallikharjuna Yadav and Seeram Subrahmanyam.
