She inaugurated the 13 day Lepakshi hand looms and handicrafts exhibition at Sri Vidya Sadan near Maris Stella College.

Krishna District ZP Chairperson Gadde Anuradha  watching  Lepakshi Handicrafts and Handloooms  Exhibition on Thursday  Assistant director of the handicrafts corporation K R Murali Krishna said that the attempt is to bring the art of various communities and villages, to the people of the city. Weavers and makers are directly meeting customers benefiting both, he said.

At 80 odd stalls, there are varieties of sarees from Venkatagiri, Gadwal, Mangagiri, Guntur, Cheerala, Narayanapeta, Pochampally, Tussar silk, Kalamkari, Cotton printed fabric, handloom bed spreads and furnishing covers. Artificial jewelry from Chilakalapudi, northern part of India, articles from Shaharanpur, ceramic, rosewood, Etikoppaka toys, wood toys, terracotta garden and wall hangings, leather products, pearl jewelry and brass interiors are also on sale. Lepakshi city showroom manager T Venkataramanappa and others were present.
