Junk foods will lead to obesity, blood pressure, diabetes, according to Members of Indian Academy of pediatrics. They said all the family members should take lunch or dinner at least once in a week together to develop healthy eating habits.

The IAP has been observing child and adolescent health care week from November 14. Speaking on the occasion IAP Krishna district secretary PSN Murthy said that the intake of fruits, vegetables, leafy vegetables and whole grains should be more in diet.

The IAP secretary said that the slogan this year is `Healthy diet, healthy life: now or never’. He said the chemicals being used to improve storage life of junk foods spoils health. He also said that people should avoid eating food while watching television. IAP Krishna district president MA Rahman, Dr PV Rama Rao, Saiprasad and others were present.
