The Andhra Pradesh government on Tuesday issued a circular asking all the Heads of Departments to shift to the new capital. The circular issued by Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao says the state Secretariat and HODs will function from the new capital region from June 1, 2016.

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government on Tuesday issued a circular asking all the Heads of Departments to shift to the new capital.

The circular issued by Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao says the state Secretariat and HODs will function from the new capital region from June 1, 2016.

He has asked all the HODs to make plans for shifting of their respective departments and function from the date given in the circular.

The HODs were also asked to give instructions to the employees and officers working under their administrative control that their respective departments will function from the date notified in the circular, the circular says.

Meanwhile, leaders of several employees’ associations in the Secretariat have indicated to call for a meeting of their respective associations on this issue soon.

The Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Employees’ Association, Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Gazetted Officers Association, AP Revenue Employees Association and State NGO’s Association are to discuss the situation arising out of the circular.
