K E Krishna Murthy Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Revenue, Stamps and Registrations K E Krishna Murthy said that Andhra Pradesh netted a revenue of Rs 2,362 crore till November in the present financial year marking 103 per cent revenue growth against the target of Rs 3,500 crore.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, the Minister said that the department achieved 37 per cent more growth rate than the revenue of 2014-15. He said that the government has entered into an agreement with postal department for sale of stamp papers for the convenience of people.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that e-stamping and online stamp duty payment system would be effectively implemented. He said that the government could save Rs 15 crore through e-stamping system for Rs 1,000 and above stamp papers. He said bogus registrations could be avoided by linking Aadhaar cards with documents during registration of properties.

The Minister said that anywhere registration is gaining popularity and 35,150 registrations have been carried out so far. He said East Godavari district stands first in anywhere registrations. Explaining about other initiatives of the Stamps and Registrations department, the Minister said that online public data entry system was introduced and people can furnish the particulars of their properties to avoid mistakes in encumbrance certificates.

He said slot booking facility was provided for registrations to curb time taking process for the convenience of people. He said the properties would be physically verified in municipal limits during registration time to avoid bogus registrations.

The Minister said that people could get the particulars of their documents since 1999 through department website www.registration.ap.gov.in. He said the Citizens' Charter introduced by the government has been providing several facilities to people. He said the officials would be penalised if they fail to render services as per stipulated time.
