Tirupati: YSRCP Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, one of the 15 accused in the alleged attack on Air India manager in Renigunta airport, surrendered before the police in Yerpedu police station, 25 km from here on ThursdayThe surrender came in the wake of the High Court of Hyderabad rejecting Reddy’s writ petition seeking anticipatory bail in the case registered against him by Yerpedu police based on a complaint from the Air India manager Rajasekhar . After completing the formalities, which took several hours, Reddy was taken to Srikalahasti, 15 km away from Yerpedu, amidst tight security. After medical examination, he was presented before the Magistrate at his residence. The Magistrate ordered two weeks remand for Bhaskar Reddy who was taken to central prison in Nellore.
Cases under Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) and 448 (house- trespass of) of IPC.
