In the event organized by Ghantasala Sangeeta Kala Vedika of Vijayawada at Tummalapallivari Kshetrayya Kalakshetram, MLC Buddha Venkanna garlanded the bronze statue of Ghantasala and paid rich tributes.

Speaking on the occasion, Venkanna said that singers may come and singers may go but Ghantasala remains forever. He recalled his invaluable contribution to the growth of the Telugu film industry and music in particular.

Meanwhile, the budding musicians paid glowing tributes to the legendary playback singer and music composer. Singers assembled at the Ghantsala Venkateswara Rao Government College of Music and Dance and paid floral tributes to the portrait of the music composer.

The singers sang a host of popular old melodies of Ghantasala much to the delight of the audience. Ghantasala had won a permanent place in the hearts of music lovers winning the epithet ‘Gaana Gandharva’. Ghantasala would be remembered forever for the rendition of Bhagavad Gita with devotion, said Central Legislator Bonda Umamaheswara Rao.
