Over Rs 3,600 crore loss to AP due to floods

State Disaster Committee has stated in a report that the loss in floods in Andhra Pradesh has summed up to Rs. 3,600 crores. With many districts in AP - Nellore, Chittoor, Prakasam, Kadapa, East and West Godavari suffering major damages due to the continuous rains lashed out for the entire week, 54 lives have been lost.
While the AP Government sent the report on the losses due to floods to the Centre, Union Minister Rajnath Singh revealed the report in Lok Sabha stating that a report will be prepared after a team tours the flood-affected districts following which the Centre would take steps to help AP.
